Unfortunately the swan is no longer what it used to be .. firstly I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the staff who were incredible worked hard and unfortunately for them the chefs (if we can call them that) let this place down massively .. came for a Sunday roast with my partner and son .. £18 for and adults £9 for kids .. 2 extra small slices of roast beef .. Yorkshire pudding that’s got too much flour in it so didn’t raise and was dense batter .. carrot and swede with far tooo much salt and pepper and gravy that has no taste and as thin as water .. unfortunately not the standards it used to have years ago and for that price it’s day light robbery .. please sack the chef and go back to your once high standards .. your staff are a credit to you but the food is abysmal

I loved going to the Swan with two Nicks over 30 years ago. I went to visit again as I loved it for a quick drink when meeting a friend. The website said it didn't shut for another 35 minutes after we arrived. However, they had closed the till and the last few people were going.
We did get told about another pub, down the road, we could visit. This was such a shame... And on valentine's day night too...

This pub is amazing. The land lady was so friendly along with the rest of the staff. The told was lovely. Will defo be going back very soon in our camper van.

Went in Friday early evening, greeted with a warm welcome & ordered drinks. The table we sat at the wall was splashed with old drink or something as was the radiator. Paint was falling off the wall in the same area. Main course was very tasty, however the deserts were microwaved puddings that had been done for far too long as both treacle pudding and spotted dick were hard and very dry, for the price very poor value. My wife visited the ladies toilet and had we not ordered food we would have walked out. No reason for the ladies cubicle to look like it’s a public toilet with horrid stains on the walls. For god sake get your cleaner to clean or get it repainted. Disgusting is all she could say!!

Popped in midwalk & the place was reassuringly busy. Super friendly bar staff, good choice of beers. What's not to like! Recommended.

Great country pub worked miracles after a major flood due to Bridgewater Canel bursting it's banks You wouldn't think the pub had had a problems when you go in.
The food is always first rate
The staff friendly attentive and decent priced
It's a pub out of my way that I enjoy going too
